Traumatic Dental Injuries

Treatments for traumatic dental injuries

Chipped/Fractured tooth:

Depending on the extent of the damage, a fractured tooth may be repaired by reattaching the broken piece or adding a filling. Sometimes, an artificial crown can restore your tooth. If the pulp is damaged, you may require root canal treatment.

Dislodged tooth:

Your tooth may be repositioned and stabilized depending on the nature of the injury. When a permanent tooth is dislodged, root canal therapy is often necessary within a few days of the injury.

Knocked-out tooth:

The sooner you get dental treatment, the better in order to save your tooth. Be careful when handling your tooth, including not touching the root surface. How long your tooth is out of your mouth and how it has been stored will inform your Detroit dentist on how best to restore it back in its socket and stabilize it.

We take emergency dental care seriously because we understand how important that you need to be evaluated and treated immediately. We will always do our best to see you the same day as your emergency even if it means working through our lunch or staying late. We are here for you when you need to find an emergency dentist in Detroit.
